My solution

Let Shifu's age be y and Tudi's age be x.

5 + (y-x) = x --- eqn 1

y + (y-x) = 71 ---eqn 2

Solve simultaneously,

x = 27 and y = 49

Shifu is 49 and Tudi is 27 :)
